MUSEO ETNOGRAFICO

Il Museo Etnografico di Schilpario, attraverso documenti, immagini fotografiche, strumenti di lavoro e oggetti della vita quotidiana, è testimone e custode del passato e del patrimonio storico e culturale, del lavoro continuo e faticoso che le condizioni ambientali, strutturali ed economiche  hanno imposto agli uomini e alle donne della Valle di Scalve.

Il museo, costituito nel corso degli anni ’70 e ’80, è stato inserito in un antico edificio ristrutturato che è parte integrante del complesso etnografico e culturale: al suo esterno vi è una grande ruota da mulino, con le pale azionate dall’acqua del torrente  Dezzo che vi scorre a fianco, collegata all’interno con ruote dentate che azionano macina, frantoio e torchio per la produzione dell’olio di lino, oltre alla macina per il frumento.

Collegati all’allevamento del bestiame, alla pastorizia e all’attività casearia, vi sono vari oggetti originali, dalle museruole per i vitelli ad un arnese per raddrizzare le corna alle bestie; bacinelle e ciotole per  contenere il latte  o per  raccogliere la panna; vari tipi di zangole e stampi per il burro, decorati ad incisione.

Si passa poi alle attività esclusivamente femmnili: filatura e tessitura del lino, canapa e lana, con relativi attrezzi; lavori legati alla vita di ogni giorno con i suoi vari aspetti, dalle pratiche religiose alla cura dell’infanzia.

Il percorso si chiude con attrezzi da cucina e oggetti domestici utilizzati nella vita quotidiana, sono anche esposti alcuni finimenti degli animali da traino, una ruota di carro e due “birocci” riservati al trasporto di persone , e ancora, testimonianze del lavoro di falegnami, carpentieri e carbonai e alcuni attrezzi per il lavoro in miniera.

The Museum Etnografico of Schilpario, through documents, photographic images, tools and objects of the daily life, it is witness and custodian of the past and the historical and cultural patrimony of the continuous and fatiguing job that environmental, structural and economic conditions have imposed to the men and the women of the Valley of Scalve.

The museum, constituted during the years '70 and '80, have been inserted in an ancient building restructured that it is integral part of the complex etnografico and cultural: to his/her outside there is a great mill wheel, with the shovels operated by the water of the stream Dezzo that flows beside you, connected to the inside with cogwheels that operate millstone, crusher and press for the production of the flax oil.

Connected to the breeding of the livestock, to the pastorizia and the cheese activity, there are various original objects, from the muzzles for the calves to an object to straighten the horns to the beasts; basins and bowls to contain the milk or to pick up the whipped cream; various types of churns and dice for the butter, decorated to incision.

You exclusively passes then femmnili to the activities: spinning and weaving of the flax, hemp and wool, with relative utensils; you work tied up to the life of every day with his/her launchings you wait, from the religious practices to the care of the infancy.

The run is closed with utensils by kitchen and domestic objects used in the daily life, some sets of the drawing animals, a wheel of wagon and two they are also exposed "birocci" reserved to people's transport, and still, testimonies of the job of carpenters, carpenters and coalmen and some utensils for the job in mine.
