Val di Scalve, un ambiente prealpino di incantevole bellezza, in cui l’uomo ha perpetuato per secoli la tradizione mineraria improntando la propria storia, cultura ed economia.

La Valle di Scalve fu di fatto sino agli anni ’70 del secolo scorso, una terra a vocazione mineraria a causa dei suoi giacimenti di minerali che la resero celebre e contesa.

Grazie alla collezione privata di Pizio Antonio tutti potremo avvicinarci ad un mondo vicino ma talvolta sconosciuto.

Frutto di una paziente ricerca e catalogazione, oggi, questa raccolta privata, è diventata un patrimonio fruibile da tutti.

Nelle teche in cui sono protetti i cristalli naturali si presenta un lavoro di milioni di anni. Si possono osservare, ben ordinati e catalogati, i gioielli che la natura riesce a creare all’interno delle rocce.

Il percorso espositivo, particolarmente suggestivo per l’ambiente che lo ospita, comprende, oltre ai minerali, anche alcuni fossili. Questi resti animali ci permettono di rivivere la vita della vallate e delle montagne nel corso della loro formazione.

In particolare si possono apprezzare le meraviglie racchiuse nelle montagne scalvine che, con la visita della miniera, formano un percorso naturale completo.

The run espositivo, particularly suggestive for the environment that entertains him/it, he/she understands, besides the mineral ones, also some fossils. This animal rest allows us to relive the life of the valleys and the mountains during their formation.
